Dr. Damayanti Das Ghosh is presently studying whether any correlation is present between stemness and presence of GOF mutant p53 and, whether such correlation is associated with chemoresistance in high grade serous ovarian cancer. Her second work is related to developing organoids from ovarian and cervical tumors. In cancer research, organoids can be used for both studying basic biology of the disease and for testing drug-sensitivity. She is also working on TCGA Data-mining on ovarian and endometrial cancer. Dr Biswarup Basu is Senior Scientific Officer at CNCI and his area of interest is deciphering neuronal regulations on cancer progression. He is engaged in identifying key proteins in autophagy and neuro-endocrine pathways that may serve as potential biomarkers and targets against cancer metastasis in breast and ovarian cancers. Dr Basu is also working on natural compounds with anticancer properties in ovarian tumor models. Kailash Narayan a Gynaecological Radiation Oncologist and Professor at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Melbourne, Australia. He had training in medicine, Biophysics, Experimental pathology and Radiation Oncology. His laboratory research interests have been microvasculature of normal and neoplastic tissues. His clinical research interests have been in the application of histology, MRI and PET in prognosticating and management of gynaecological cancers. His longitudinal observational studies since 1996 have been the source for assessing various radiological and histological prognostic factors and treatment outcomes, showing the highest quality of care and a marked reduction in radiotherapy complications. His observations became the basis of selection of patients for clinical studies.
